Job Description:
The General Education Department invites applications for a full-time position in Russian Language and
Literature. The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching,
scholarly research, and service to the department and institution.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching Russian Language and Literature to undergraduate students ranging from beginners to
advanced levels.
- Developing innovative and engaging curriculum materials to support language instruction and cultural
immersion.
- Conducting scholarly research in the field of Russian language and literature, leading to publications in
peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
- Contributing to the academic community through departmental and university service, including
participation in committees and engagement with relevant academic organizations.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Russian Language and Literature.
- Proficient command of academic English.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Russian as a foreign language at the university level for more than
three years.
- Strong research agenda and potential for scholarly productivity in the field of Russian language and
literature.
- Ability to work effectively with varied student populations and a commitment to fostering belonging and fairness in the classroom.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Full-time faculty at Psychology Department

Position: Full-time faculty of MA in Psychology

Location: ĢƵ

Type of work: full-time, 1-year contract

Start of work: August 1st, 2025

Key responsibilities:

  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses related counseling, psychotherapy and/or research in psychology
  • Oversee of internship processes of master students
  • Service to the university and the department
  • Participation in work with stakeholders of the program: partner organizations etc.

Eligibility criteria:

  • PhD, Candidate of science, or related degree (candidates with a master-level degrees might be selected for interview in case of substantial practical or research experience)
  • Good command of English
  • Practical experience in psychology or counseling

ESL/EFL Instructor

Position: ESL/EFL Instructor

Job type: Full-time

Department: NGA - New Generation Academy (AUCA’s Preparatory Program)

The ĢƵ’s New Generation Academy is seeking an ESL/EFL specialist to teach English for Academic Purposes, TOEFL Test Preparation, Academic Research Writing courses for the Fall and Spring semesters of 2025-2026 academic year.

New Generation Academy is AUCA’s one-year preparatory program aimed at preparing students for AUCA admission exams and liberal arts undergraduate education requirements.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting directly to the NGA Director, the ESL/EFL Instructor is responsible for planning, teaching and evaluating assigned classes in accordance with the NGA curriculum; for maintaining student class records; for fulfilling administrative duties as required and/or requested by the Program; and for participating in research and professional development activities such as workshops and meetings.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and education.

Qualification requirements:

  • BA/Specialist`s degree in Humanities preferably in TESOL/TEFL and/or certification in TESOL/TEFL/CELTA are required;
  • MA in TESOL or Applied Linguistics preferred;
  • Minimum one-year university/college-level experience teaching ESL/EFL;
  • Strong background in English grammar;
  • Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills;
  • Proficient computer skills; good knowledge of online teaching platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet
  • Ability to move from building to building between classes and across college campus buildings;

Head of Alumni Relations Office

The role of Head of Alumni Relations Office is to direct the office in the planning and implementation of comprehensive and diversified activities to promote active alumni endorsement of the University and promote alumni fundraising activities. Head of ARO reports to the Director of Development.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree required;
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, promotions or public relations;
  • excellent presentation skills;
  • highest level of competence in both written and oral communication to include information technology systems; full professional proficiency in spoken and written English, Russian, and professional working proficiency in spoken and written Kyrgyz is preferred;
  • outstanding organizational and strong interpersonal skills;
  • solid planning and analytical abilities;
  • confident with public presentations, including media relations when appropriate;
  • ability to work flexible hours;
  • ability to participate as a team player to coordinate alumni projects;
  • knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques;
  • ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate volunteers within area of specialty;
  • ability to develop, write and implement operating plans including alumni fundraising;
  • ability to identify and secure alternative funding/revenue sources;
  • flexibility in meeting shifting priorities and schedules;
  • ability to supervise fundraising campaign among alumni;
  • an eagerness to understand and appreciate the intellectual life of the university;
  • ability to work flexible hours.

The responsibilities of the Head of ARO include, but are not limited to:

  • develop and coordinate Alumni Program with the support of the Director of Development;
  • manage day-to-day activities of the alumni office;
  • manage alumni records, databases, and reporting;
  • communicate with alumni through e-mail, direct letters, personally and update information on the website;
  • plan, coordinate and implement activities and programs to promote active alumni participation in programs and events and provide opportunities for renewed contacts with university (such as reunions, homecoming, club events, speakers, conferences, receptions, and other activities for alumni and student constituencies);
  • receive and respond to requests for information and assistance from alumni;
  • serve as liaison between alumni and university departments; evaluate alumni participation in programs and activities and make changes as appropriate;
  • represent the university to various institutional divisions, as well as externally to the media, governmental agencies, prospective funding agencies and individuals;
  • supervise annual fundraising campaigns among alumni;
  • train students and other volunteers to assist Alumni Office and Alumni Association;
  • work closely with Career Center Officer and Development Officer;
  • develop and implement marketing strategies;
  • engage in the Development Office’s various endeavors and perform other related duties as assigned.
